"I went to America's Best to get my glasses repaired, but they told me they would be unable to do it and I would have to buy a new pair of glasses. I was able to send Rick a picture of my broken glasses and he quickly got back to me stating that he would be able to fix them! In addition to this, I only paid about 20$ for the repair and he even shipped them to my home, so that I don't have to drive all the way out to south Elgin! I would definitely recommend Rick to anyone in need of eye glasses repair! He is very kind and professional!"

"Fantastic work. I'd had my frames re-fitted with new lenses and the optometrist's machine had broken off the metal piece holding the nose pad. The piece was unsalvageable and Rick was able to recreate it and saved the frames. Very nice, fast, and professional - I'd recommend him to anyone."

"I had been by a chain store that told me my eyeglasses were not repairable. I showed up at Ricks and he looked at them and said this will be quick and asked me to wait. In about 20 minutes my glasses were repaired, cleaned, and even straightened out. When leaving I felt guilty that I had not paid more for the repair because Rick saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you Rick for doing what you do and for doing it with astuteness and with diligence!"

"Rick did a great job. I use a Jorgensen dual purpose hand miter saw to make picture frames. The bolt that holds the blade broke. Parts for the saw can't be purchased anywhere so I found Rick's Welding after searching on Google. After diagnosing the material type, Rick welded a new thread to the slit-bolt and it's stronger than the original piece. He does excellent work and charges a very fair price. "
